Tutorial: Character Design

Another tutorial I have promised to do!
This time it is a tutorial for character design and the "test object" was the main character of my online story "The Song of Blades".

Some more information to character design

There are different kinds of character design: One is a "Reference Sheet", which has more information about the character and the other one is just the "Character Design", which just shows how a character or creature looks like.
Reference Sheets usually have information like a character's personality, colour palettes and detailled shots of other body parts, like the eye (colour).
Character Designs are just an illustration of a character and addidional information are usually in the description, like the lines of a book, which describe the character.

If you draw a character design, it is important to add details. But don't carry it too far If you do a fullbody design, you don't have to draw details for every detail.
For example: A character has blue eyes with a brown ring around the pupil. Then you shouldn't draw this brown ring, just draw a blue eye

Too detailled details (like HD-textures for everything) just look too much and you also don't have to draw every single hair of fur/hair. Add details and textures, but never too much
